- Loop trail is an easy 1-mile hike that brings you past cellarholes, apple trees, stone walls and other remnants of the past.
- The farm was part of the small farming community called Long Pond Settlement. In 1860 there were more than 30 active farms, 2 schoolhouses, a blacksmith shop and a store. In 1899, a Post Office was established and the name was changed to Santiago. By 1950, there were no homes left standing.
- Property is open to hunting in season.
- Please don’t walk on or pick blueberries the field: it’s commercially managed for organic blueberries by Foggy Hill Farm of Frankfort.
- You may access the property by auto, bike, snowmobile or ATV, but please do not ride on trail or across the field.
