For the past month of Mondays, a diverse group of twelve or so adults from the community have been meeting with Roger Greene, consulting Forester for the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands, to learn the basics of silvaculture and forest management. (See June 29th news article on this site for details.) The photos here show Roger with his students in the classroom on July 23rd, and Roger with his students in the forest on July 30th. By all accounts, the course is a goldmine of information and a resounding success.
