According to Joel Alex, Project Coordinator, Center for Community GIS, “Maine Trail Finder is a grant funded initiative that works with trail managers around Maine to promote their trails as part of a  comprehensive database of non-motorized trails geared towards residents and  visitors to Maine.

“Recently, we received a grant to reach out to land trusts and work to  develop postings for their trails. We would love to work with Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust to include any trails it feels may be  appropriate to promote through the site!”

For working with Joel to make this happen, special thanks to: Scott Bennett and Jennifer Riefler of the GPMCT Paths Committee for all their hard work, Cheri Domina for her eagle-eyed editing, Leah Page for her professionalism and expertise in many matters, Hans Krichels for his persistent carping about deadlines, Tricia Rouleau, past Steward of the Trust for her numerous contributions, and all others involved in making these trails a reality.
